Kittitas Valley Greenhouse


No trip to the farmer’s market here in Seattle is ever complete without a stop at the Kittitas Valley Greenhouse booth.  I can usually count on having my choice of about 20 or more different heirloom tomato varieties.  Each type is carefully labeled with tasting notes and suggestions for the type of dishes that each tomato would be best suited for.   Last fall I used their Black Zebra tomatoes to make a panzanella salad that was absolutely amazing.  I can’t wait until the zebras come back to the market so I can make it again.
